To plan a luxury honeymoon in Europe, decide how you want the trip to feel before choosing countries, limit the number of hotel changes and coordinate the route, hotels and experiences around your real priorities. The most expensive itinerary is not automatically the most romantic. The best honeymoon is the one that feels personal and leaves enough room to enjoy being together.

Many couples begin with Italy, Greece, France, Spain or a combination of several countries. The question is not how many beautiful places can fit on a map. It is which places create the right honeymoon for the two of you.

Start with the feeling, not the destination list

Before looking at hotels, talk about the experience you want. Do you picture slow mornings beside the sea, food and wine in the countryside, historic cities, island-hopping, private touring, nightlife or a balance of activity and rest?

The arrival day sets the tone. A complicated connection, long transfer or overly ambitious tour after an overnight flight can make the honeymoon begin with exhaustion.
